Hallmark Institute of Photography is proud to announce the opening of "Out of the Box" by New York artist & photographer, William Wegman. The opening will take place at The Gallery at Hallmark, on Friday, March 5th from 1pm - 5pm, with an Artist's Talk at Hallmark Institute of Photography at 6pm. Located in the Colle Opera House at 85 Avenue A in historic downtown Turners Falls, the Exhibit will feature never-before-seen work from William Wegman's extensive collection of delightful Weimaraner images.

William Wegman is well known for the photography of his beloved Weimaraners, starting with his first named Man Ray. With a new Weimaraner, Fay Ray, he began collaboration with Polaroid and their famous 20x24 instant photographic system. Wegman's photography, drawings, videotapes and paintings are in museums and galleries internationally.

The Exhibition Opening reception, available to the public at no charge, will take place from 1pm to 5pm on March 5 and will include refreshments and live music. Following the reception, there will be an Artist's Talk at 6pm, at the Hallmark Institute of Photography Education Center located at 27 Industrial Blvd in Turners Falls. William will share images and stories of his illustrious career in art. The public is cordially invited to this free event.

"Out of the Box" will be on display Fridays through Sundays 1pm to 5pm through Sunday, May 2, 2010.
