The Jones Trio started out as a duo consisting of Peter Jones on piano and Joe Fitzpatrick on drums. Peter and Joe then met and played with bassist Donny Hayward in the band Unit 7. From that, they became Jones Trio. It's anything but the standard jazz you might imagine from a trio. Peters original compositions combine jazz, african, latin, blues, classical, broadway, rock and funk and everything in between, all played with an enthusiasm that led one of our biggest fans to tag our shows as "jazz that thumps!"
