Details:

Elephant Micah is the project of southern Indiana songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joseph O'Connell. Recording mostly at home, O’Connell has produced an eclectic body of work since beginning the project in 2000. His prolific output ranges from the aptly titled Elephant Micah and the Loud Guitars, to the rust-belt grandeur of Embarrassment of Riches, and the quiet beauty of last year's Exiled Magicians. Simply put, his music is stunning, and you do NOT want to miss it.

Chicago's Mark Trecka is one of three good souls making up Pillars & Tongues, whose music is described thusly: The group of Evan Hydzik, Elizabeth Remis, and Mark Trecka constitute a collective focused on the abstraction of form and language. Their resulting exploration of such just happens to take shape in musical form. Recalling the aesthetic employed by the 'spiritual jazz' workouts of icons such as Pharaoh Sanders, wherein the creation of music itself can be seen as a positing method to address larger concepts at hand, Pillars & Tongues utilize an organic, 'spontaneous composition' design in which the three communicate their ideas.

Oweihops is a band from the Pioneer Valley. Singer/songwriter Michael Metivier began using the name Oweihops in 2003 while performing shows in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to western Massachusetts in late 2005, he began playing regularly with drummer/multi-instrumentalist Aric Bieganek, and cellist Rebekah Dutkiewicz. Oweihops has recorded three albums: Chickadee, Cinquefoil, and Viburnum. Influences include Low, Songs: Ohia, Scud Mountain Boys, and John Fahey.
