“Pioneer Valley Perspectives” at The Great Falls Discovery Center

Susan Dion of Belchertown will be presenting “Pioneer Valley Perspectives”, an exhibit depicting various local scenes of interest found in Western Massachusetts. The artist’s work will be on display in the Great Hall from June 3rd until June 25th during normal operating hours of the Great Falls Discovery Center, 2 Avenue A, Turners Falls.

Dion is a life-long resident of the Pioneer Valley and has been an artist for over 50 years. She obtained a degree in Fine Arts from Westfield State University and is an active member of the Amherst Plein Air Society. Her reverential and keen observations of nature and love for the Impressionists have inspired Dion to try to capture and play with the effects of light, space, and multiple colors found in her world. Through most her work, the artist tries to convey feelings of celebration, wonderment and serenity, and her hope is to share this passionate vision with others. A portion of all sales will be donated The Trustees of the Reservations, whose mission is to preserve for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts.
