Block Party: 2pm - 8 pm, Avenue A, Downtown Turners Falls

Fabrication recycled fashion show 7pm

River of Lights Lantern Parade: starts 8 pm along the bike path

This year's Block Party, organized by the Gill Montague Regional School Partnership in collaboration with RiverCulture, will take place from 2-8 pm on Avenue A between 3rd + 1st Streets.

ALL DAY: activities, arts and crafts, shopping, food, friends, entertainment, Great Falls Farmers Market open for business. Favorite and new Avenue A businesses will be open. Live Bands and Acoustic Music.

Fabrication Fashion Show

Organized by Rachel Teumim, this is an annual recycled fashion show at the Turners Falls Block Party featuring clothing made out of things that would otherwise be tossed. Be a part of the show.  More details at the Fabrication Facebook group here.

 

 

River of Lights Lantern Parade

RiverCulture's Producer's grant and Feast for the Arts Recipient is the the "River of Lights" and aims to celebrate the mighty Connecticut River and all who inhabit it. Please Join us August 13th, during the Turners Falls Block Party to make a lantern!  At 8 pm that night we will process in a river of lights along the bike path to Unity Park, where we will launch three hot-air-style balloons high over the town. There will be a contest for best lantern, with prizes for both Kids and Adults plus popcorn! Not to be missed! 

Meet at the River of Lights block party table on the lawn of the Discovery Center at 8 pm to light lanterns and wait for the perfect night light to descend.  Find the parade route here.
