Join exhibition jurors Lisa Thompson, Associate Director of A.P.E. at Windows in Northampton, and Loretta Yarlow, Director of The University Gallery at the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst as they walk through Confluence and share thoughts, reactions, and observations about individual works of art and the overall exhibition.

- Confluence Convocation 5-8pm

Daniel Hales curates an event that takes the theme of Confluence to a new level. Local writers and musicians present work in one medium that is confluent with another. Come hear poems that speak to paintings, songs that take their lyrics from poems, fiction that...you get the idea... [Click here for more information.]

Closing Ceremony: Water Dances

Fostering Art and Culture Project networking event starting at 5:30 at the Gallery. Water Dance performance starting at 6:30. A partnership among celebration artist, Phyllis Labanowski, and Ariana Shelton and Laura Marie of Hooping Harmony, Water Dances serves as a gesture of appreciation to fresh waters. Thirteen hoop dancers and 12 water carriers will lead participants from the sidewalk outside of The Gallery at Hallmark (85 Avenue A) to a grassy knoll at The Discovery Center (one block away) where Water Dances will be performed.
